Gold bullion makes you look rich
A friend of mine has a strange obsession. He really wants to impress women and he thinks he can do that by looking wealthier than he really is. He has been reading various books on how to become rich, but unfortunately he likes money too much to be ever able to save some, so pretend is all he can do. He recently bought some valuable jewellery and a couple of small bullion bars. He sent his whole salary on that and now he complains he"ll have to stay at home for the holidays. I don"t really understand why he did so. He has told me recently he sometimes shows the gold to his guests and says this is just a small part of something he has inherited from his wealthy grandparents. It really makes me laugh! And I don"t really believe this is authentic gold bullion. He has also started dressing differently. Nice shirts, pressed trousers and good leather shoes is definitely not something he would wear when we were still at school! Then he just dressed in baggy sweatshirts and trainers. He also used to swear a lot. Now he speaks really clearly and his grammar has definitely improved. He gave up smoking and started playing tennis. He"s a former football fan so that seems really strange. He says he"s meeting a girl who went to the same school as us. Whoever she is, he must be really determined to impress her.
